Unique Blind X-perience & AIDS X-perience at Crossroads Foundation

This summer, our S4 and S5 students have had the opportunity to “experience” the lives of the underprivileged at the Crossroads Foundation at Gold Coast, Tuen Mun. The experience was a uniquely special one. In small groups, students went through the life of a blind person who lives in a village in a developing country. Being guided by a real blind person, they got in touch, in complete darkness, with the physical environment where people without vision live. Besides, they went into the life journeys of some individuals who themselves or whose loved ones have acquired HIV or AIDS. Both activities are a kind of ‘simulation” programmes. Students have really had their eyes opened and understood more about these global health issues. (Miss C.Lee)
