(It takes a village to raise a child ),這句話正好反映了近年本校的發展狀況。
There is a saying: "It takes a village to raise a child." This perfectly reflects the development of our school in recent years. Nurturing the physical, mental, and spiritual growth of our students and discovering their inner potential is a grand endeavor that absolutely requires “the collective strength of our village"!
With a heartfelt of gratitude, the principal and all staff pay tribute to those who have supported, cared for, and encouraged us. To improve the campus environment, the sponsoring body has taken the lead in investing to assist with the renovation of the reception area and the playground at the Sycamore Street campus, lending it a brandnew feel. We also want to thank the parents for their unwavering trust in the school, their tireless contributions to home-school cooperation projects, and their open-mindedness in understanding school policies and willingness to communicate, all of which lead to seamless collaboration.
We cannot forget the enthusiastic alumni and Think Tank members who, amidst their busy work schedules, take time to help the school with their professional expertise; those who continuously support younger students by providing volunteer tutoring; and those who donate scholarships to support the school, upholding the enduring tradition of "Sam Yuk Spirit."
Since the 2019-20 academic year, the school has responded to societal development trends by integrating geospatial data technology into interdisciplinary learning. After five long years of exploration, the first GeoBIM Lab in the secondary education sector will officially open in the 2024-25 academic year, with the initial applications of Geospatial Technology and Building Information Modeling (BIM) incorporated into the junior secondary curriculum. We are truly grateful to have encountered many enthusiastic partners along the way, coming from government departments, academic institutions, professional sectors, and volunteer organizations. Each one is a professional leader with a broad vision for the future development of Hong Kong and a willingness to nurture future talents. The support from various fields directly inspires and motivates our school curriculum, enabling students to unleash their innovative thinking and explore career planning pathways. For example, Dr. Rosana Wong from Yau Lee Holdings Limited leads several construction industry elites to initiate the " Project Luminary" to support junior secondary STEAM learning and to donate scholarships to encourage students to innovate actively. Esri China (HK) has signed a three-year memorandum of cooperation in geospatial technology with the school, providing technical support and teacher training.
The official opening of the GeoBIM Lab this academic year is an important milestone for our entire "village," allowing us, teachers and students, to enjoy a vibrant and exciting campus life under the blessings and guidance of our Heavenly Father, with hearts full of gratitude!
